Gordon M. McPeters Gordon M. McPeters, 89, of Rogersville passed away on April 30, 2020. He was born and raised in Killen, Alabama to John and Louise McPeters. Gordon was married to the love of his life, Margery McPeters for 67 years. He retired from the TVA working as a senior instrumentation specialist for over 40 years. Gordon was an active member of the United Methodist Church choir and enjoyed being outside doing yard work, gardening, fishing, and the simple pleasures in life like singing and making people laugh. He attended Killen Elementary from 1st-9th grade and graduated from Lauderdale High School.

Gordon is survived by his wife, Margery McPeters; his children, Kennon McPeters, Carey McPeters, Necedah Henderson (Tommy), Troy McPeters (Carla), and Bruce McPeters (Lori); his grandchildren, Dace Castillo (John), Shawn McPeters (Melissa), Bruce McPeters- B.J., Casey McPeters, Cameron McPeters, Chelsea Jones (Heath), Michael McPeters, Seth Henderson, Dawson McPeters, Branigan McPeters; great-grandchildren, Autumn Brogren, Avalyn Brogren, Haleigh Jones, Curtis Jones; and eight nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Louise McPeters; and his siblings, J.B. McPeters (Ethlyn), Doug McPeters (Collie), Wayne McPeters (Dot), Verla Pace (Charles), Doris Levison (Lee).

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Diane Smith, Pride Senior Care, and Kindred Hospice for all of your love, care and support.

There will be a private graveside service at Civitan Cemetery. Carol Keller will be officiating the service. In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made in Gordon’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
