Hazel Beatrice Rushing of Crane Hill, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2020 at the age of 94. She was born on April 19, 1926 to Isaac and Nervie Knight Speegle. Hazel was a longtime member of Prospect Church of Christ. She loved flowers and enjoyed working in her flower garden and yard. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Asa L. Rushing; sons: Terry Rushing and Steven Rushing; sisters: Ardes Moore, Opal Rushing and Mullis Williams and brothers: Roger Speegle, Cecil Speegle, Curtis Speegle, Herman Speegle, Duell Speegle and Dorman Speegle. Her survivors include her daughters: Sandra Rushing Sinyard and Karen Rushing; daughter-in-law, Kathryn Rushing; brother, Ray Speegle; grandchildren: Byron (Heather) Sinyard, Errick Sinyard, Bridget Rushing (Matt) Hill and Rockie (Leslie) Rushing; 9 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. A public viewing will be available on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at Moss Service Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, a limited number of guests will be allowed in at a time. A private family graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Prospect Church of Christ Cemetery. Condolences and special memories may be shared with the family at mossservicefh.com
