MARSHALL COUNTY – On Thursday, April 23 the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a traffic death in Marshall County stemming from a singe-vehicle accident involved in a high-speed chase with Marshall County Deputies:

At 4:16 a.m. today, April 23, ALEA State Troopers were requested by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office to investigate a fatal vehicle crash that occurred on Pleasant Grove Road.

Marshall County Deputies were pursuing a stolen vehicle and lost sight of the vehicle. Deputies later found the vehicle had ran off of the roadway and struck a tree. The driver, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.

An update will be given once the driver has been identified and a next of kin has been notified. Nothing is further as ALEA Troopers continue to investigate.
