ROGERSVILLE-As we all navigate these uncharted waters of the coronavirus pandemic, Alabama State Parks are open to serve by providing outdoor recreation and retreat. We are reminded of just how essential it is to our health for all of us to spend time in fresh air and sunshine, surrounded by natural resources.

Alabama Parks  hope you and your loved ones are well and have been able to practice social distancing in the great outdoors during this season. While some of the  park operations have been adjusted due to the current Covid-19 situation, our efforts in planning for future improvements and growth in parks are ongoing.

As many of you know, the Joe Wheeler State Park Campground was closed in December of 2019 due to tornado damage. The campground was already scheduled for renovations prior to the storm damage, but the project has now expanded, and additional updates are being planned. To help Alabama Parks best serve you, please use the following link to take a brief survey about your preferences for the Joe Wheeler State Park campground renovation:  GIVE FEEDBACK

Joe Wheeler State Park Campground looks forward to offering an even bigger and better camping experience to their guest when this project is complete.
