Kenneth E. Johnson, 83, of Jasper, Alabama, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, April 21, 2020, at his residence.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his father and mother, Reuben and Ruby Myers-Johnson.
He is survived by his loving wife Ila Sanders-Johnson of 58 years. His sister Jane Lindsey (James), and many friends.
He was happily called Pop by his children Tonya Brown (Mark), Malcolm Johnson (Julie), Sister-in-Law Melba Harbison, Nephew Rodney Findley (Shae) and their children Maddie and Maddux, his 4 grandchildren, David Brown (Casey), Josh Brown (Kara), Megan Johnson, April Roberts, and his cat Rosie.
Kenneth was a Coal Miner for 23 years and a Carpenter up until retiring. He was also a faithful member of the church of Christ and attended both Cordova and Liberty church of Christ for many years. He enjoyed camping at the marina at Pickensville with family and friends, and he loved Auburn football, War Eagle!
A private family viewing and graveside service will be held on Friday, April 24th, 2020. Ronnie Hayes will be officiating.
