River Allen Hasty, age 19 of Belvidere, passed away on Saturday April 18, 2020. River was born on December 6, 2000 to Tony Allen Hasty and Amanda J. Layne. He was a 2019 graduate of Moore County High School and was currently attending Motlow Community College. He was employed at Miss Mary Bobos restaurant in Lynchburg. In his free time he loved to spend time outdoors, hunting, fishing, or just on the water either the lake or floating the river. River was kind, loving, smart, and outgoing. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Clyde Junior Layne; paternal grandmother, Mary Ann Hasty; uncle, Troy Eugene Hasty. He is survived by his father, Tony (Tasha) Hasty of Belvidere; mother, Amanda Layne of Whitwell; siblings, Ben (Kaycee) Hasty of Jasper, Alayna Hasty of Whitwell; step-sister, Destiny Ketchersid of Lynchburg; step-brother, Chance Ketchersid of Lynchburg; paternal grandfather, Shirley Hasty of Belvidere; maternal grandmother, Nelda Layne of Whitwell; nieces and nephews, Raegan Hasty, Dean Hasty, Ellie Hasty, and Casen Ruth; aunts, Bonnie Hasty of Belvidere, Anita (Mike) Campbell of Scottsboro, AL, Jennifer Layne Von Cannon of Dunlap, Rita (James) Harris of Whitwell; uncle, Joe (Cindy) Harris of Borger, TX; cousins, Taylor Hasty of Belvidere, Tanner (Allie) Harris of Nashville; Holly Harris of Chicago, IL, Olivia Von Cannon of Dunlap, Fisher Von Cannon of Dunlap, and Rebeka Harris of Whitwell. Private Family Graveside services will be held at Beech Hill Cemetery with Garrett Jennings, Garrett Bradford, Cade Floyd, Aaron Qualls, Mason Pierce, Zach Parton, Tyler Williams, and Nolan Belk serving as pallbearers.
