Royce Houston Frederick, age 79, Bear Creek, AL. passed away April 6, 2020. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Phil Campbell, AL., retired Plant Manager of Southern Decor, served the Town of Bear Creek in many ways, having served on the town council, former mayor, BCDA Board Member and one of the founding members of the Bear Creek Rescue Squad.
Private services will be held.
He is survived by his wife, Lula Jane Price Frederick; children, Reba Hicks (Keith), Dan Frederick (Christy), Susan Wallace (Kevin) and Chad Frederick (Shawona); sisters, Ruby Lea Bishop (John) and Christine Spillers; grandchildren, Lane Hicks (Sara Nan), Myles Frederick (Heather), Keisha Garrett, Katelyn Crumpton (Tyler), Alexis and Laken Frederick; great grandchildren, Warren Hicks, John Israel Hicks, Elena Loveless and Baby Sadie Frederick arriving in June.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Riley Houston Frederick and Maude Carden Frederick; 5 brothers, R.C. Frederick, Orbie Frederick, Spencer Frederick, Gene Frederick and Arville Frederick; 4 sisters, Chessie Crowe, Othel Strickland, Lena Langley and Gussie Marbutt; granddaughter, Alisha Jane Hicks; great grandchildren, Dalton Dale Loveless, Noah Allen and Ben Harlon Hicks; brother in law, Billy Spiller.
