Joe Austin Swanigan, Jr. age 78 of Guin, AL passed away Thursday, April 2, 2020 at his residence.
Born February 2, 1942 in Guin, AL he is the Son of the late Joe Austin Swanigan, Sr. and Ruthie Mae Moon Swanigan. He had lived in Guin most of his life and was a member of the Real Chapel CME Church.
He is survived by his Wife, Mary Ogden, of Guin, AL, a Daughter, Dawn Angelean Swanigan of Guin, AL, 4 Sons, Lamar Davis Wallace, Ralph Kennedy Wallace Darryl Angelo Swanigan all of Guin, AL and Randy Wallace of Birmingham, AL, 2 Sisters, Brenda Jackson of Guin, AL and Rita Hollis of Winfield, AL, 2 Brothers, Maurice Swanigan of Guin, AL and Kenneth Swanigan of Washington D.C., First Wife, Betty Jean Swanigan of Guin, AL, 17 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a Sister, Greta Dean Wallace, 2 Brothers, Charles Swanigan and Michael Swanigan.
Graveside Services held Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at 2:00 PM from the Beaver Creek Cemetery with Bro. Willie Joe Hollis officiating.
