Steven Boyd McElyea, age 56 of South Pittsburg, passed away on April 5, 2020 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. He was born in Huntland, Tennessee on August 6, 1963 to the late Frank and Imogene (Reagan) McElyea Jr. Steven served his county in the United States Army. He currently was the owner and operator of Steven McElyea Precision Drywall, a drywall installation and finishing company. Steven enjoyed playing pool, hanging out with his family and friends, and making people laugh. He was a member of Beech Grove Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Steven was preceded in death by his daughter, Stephanie McElyea; and sister, Theresa Anderson. He is survived by his significant other, Hope (Boo) Bucher of South Pittsburg; sister, Angie (Ed) Buckner of Hillsboro; and brother, Stanley (Melissa) McElyea of Union Grove, Alabama. Private Family services are planned with burial at Elora Cemetery.
