Dana Lea Champion Baker, age 38 of Decherd passed away on Friday April 3, 2020 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System in Winchester. Dana was born on June 2, 1981 in Manchester to Sherry Lynn Ray Arnette and the late Richard Lee Champion. She was employed for about 15 years at Cubic Transportation, and attended Greenhaw Baptist church. In her free time she loved to go fishing, spend time outdoors, go for walks, look for four leaf clovers, and spend time with her family. Dana will always be remembered for being an avid animal lover that was feisty, strong willed, and tender hearted. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Donald Lee Champion; and maternal grandmother, Louise Ray Phillips. She is survived by her loving husband of 6 years, Bobby Baker Jr. of Decherd; son, Elijah Xavier Champion of Decherd; step-sons, Blake Baker of Tullahoma, Gage Baker of Winchester; mother, Sherry Arnette of Decherd; sisters, Brook Carr, Demi Champion both of Decherd; paternal grandmother, Bonnie Champion of Decherd; niece, Trinity Carr of Belvidere; and four-legged best friends, a cat named Hot Rod and a dog named Hank. A private service is planned with burial at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens with Bro. Kevin Murphy and Rev. John Gipson officiating. The register book and memorial cards will be available under the carport of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home from 10 A.M. -4:30 P.M. on Monday, April 6, 2020. An attendant will be available to assist you.
