George Michael Capuzzo
August 29, 1947 – March 29, 2020
Mike to his family and friends, PawPaw to his grandkids and Great-Grandkids, of Harvest, AL, peacefully passed away at home on March 29, 2020 at the age of 72.
He was born in Huntsville, AL, in August 1947. He went to school at Westlawn School and Butler HS in Huntsville. Mike served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with Star, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, and an Air Medal for his service. He married his wife Jean, October 14, 1989. He retired from the City of Madison, Public Works Department in 2010 after 24 years. He was a member of the Piney Chapel Antique Engine and Tractor Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Theo Capuzzo and brother Joe Capuzzo.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Jean Capuzzo; daughter Donna Blalock (Derek); step daughter Erica Braddock; brothers David Harless (Bonnie), John Capuzzo (Vickie), Paul Capuzzo (Sharon); grandchildren Misty Grigsby (Wes) and Morgan Taylor (Stephen); great-grandchildren Jacob and Katelyn Inman, Alissa Grigsby, and Aria Taylor.
