Ettie Ruth Pierce, 89 of Athens, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at her residence. Mrs. Pierce was born June 15, 1930 in Limestone County to William Otis Stanford and Leone Wise.

Funeral services for Mrs. Pierce will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. with Mark Johnson and Gary Anderson officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until 12:50 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery.

She was a member of Salem Church of Christ.

She is survived by her sons, Clay Pierce and Cliff Pierce (Gina); grandchildren, Douglas Pierce, Gabriel Pierce, Nathan Ragasa, Seth Pierce, Blake Pierce, Cole Pierce, Hayden Pierce and Kacen Pierce; 7 great grandchildren; son-in-law, Paul Ragasa.

Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Andrew Jackson Pierce; son, Carl Pierce; daughter, Carolyn Ragasa.

Pallbearers are Ricky Green, Glen King, Joey Russell, Jeff Leopard, Jimmy Clay and Larry Tarpley. Honorary pallbearers are Wayne Sledge, Marty Wilson, Doug Venable, Jim Lovoy and Dink Robinson.
