Mr. David Hiram Phillips, age 81, of Union Grove, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at his residence.
Mr. Phillips was born on April 2, 1938 in Tennessee to the late Harold Phillips & Margaret Louise Burgess Phillips. He served as a General Service Administrator at the Redstone Arsenal where he retired. Mr. Phillips was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a member of the Union Grove Masonic Lodge #230. His hobbies included farming, working cattle, gardening, fishing and watching Tennessee Football.
Mr. Phillips is survived by his wife of 18 years, Leslie Carol Ponder Phillips; daughters, Donna Phillips, Sheila Serrett, step son, Lance Higginbotham (Shayla); step daughters, Brandy Andrews (Keith), Paige Higginbotham (GianLuca Sandrini); sister, Dee Haga; half brothers, William Walker (Lynn), Ray Lee Phillips (Marie); 5 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.
A memorial visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at the Union Grove First Baptist Church. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel assisting the family.
