Bruce Edward Pottorff, age 63 of Decherd, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born at Fort Wainwright Army Post in Fairbanks, Alaska on December 24, 1956 to the late Dale and Patricia Ann (Farrell) Pottorff. Bruce was a Veteran of the United States Army and had worked for twenty-seven years as a computer programmer for the Tallahassee Democrat. He was currently employed by Best Western in Winchester, where he had been working for the last ten years. Bruce enjoyed music (especially his vinyl record collection, playing softball and bowling, and he was an avid Florida State University Football fan. In addition to his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by his grandson, Eric Pelt. He is survived by his loving wife of thirty years, Julie Pottorff of Decherd; children, Karen Hampton of Decherd, Jennifer Lea (Shawn) Allen of Tallahassee, Florida, Frank Elliott Bishop of Tallahassee, Florida, and Barbara Faye (Sean) Doughtie of Tallahassee, Florida; grandchildren, Jana Beaulieu, Savannah Hampton, Lynna Bagley, Hailey Hampton, Michael Hampton Jr, Katie Bishop, and Alexis Allen; great-grandchildren, Layton, Lillie, Skyler, Matthew, Amelia, Brooklyn, and London; siblings, Thomas (Cathy) Pottorff of Michigan, Kendra Ellis of Tallahassee, Florida, Karen (David) Bradley of Tallahassee, Florida, and John (David) Pottorff of Tallahassee, Florida.
