Mr. Vernon Ray Barnett, age 80 of Guntersville, Alabama passed away Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Marshall Medical Center North.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2020 at Carr Funeral Home with Bro. Donnie Hutchins officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Barnett is survived by his wife, Christine McCullough Barnett; daughters, Deborah Brandon (Dale), Tammy Lackey (Phillip), and Michelle Barnett; grandsons, Dakota Slusher, Tyler Lackey, Nate Ford, and Jesse Lackey; great grandchildren, Landon Barnett, Ryder Slusher, Lucas Brandon, Brynleigh Slusher, and Grayson Ford; and sister, Ruth Elmore.
He was preceded in death by his son, Dennis Vernon; grandson, Zachary Barnett; parents, Houston & Liddie Barnett; brothers, Albert and Wayne Barnett; and sisters, Vestal Humphries and Edna Tucker.
