Mr. Ruben Berry, age 76 of Sumiton passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at Walker Baptist Medical Center. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Bell Sumiton Chapel with burial in East Dora Cemetery. Visitation will one hour prior to service. Bell Sumiton Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Preceding him death were his wife, Joy Morgan Berry; parents, James O. and Louise Berry; five brothers; two sisters; and great granddaughter, Emma Grace Ruth.
Survivors include his sisters, Clara Beauchamp (William) of Alabaster and Martha Nethery of Dora; son, Phillip Ruth of Empire; special niece, Angela Kyzer (Gene) of West Jefferson; grandchildren, Corey Ruth (Paula) of Empire, Heather Ruth of Sumiton, and Tyler Morris of Brandon, Mississippi; three great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
