The Funeral Service for Stella Edna Greenhaw, 91, of Athens, will be Thursday February 13, 2020 at 10 A.M. at McConnell Memorial Chapel with Clint Coffey officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday February 12, 2020 from 5-7 at McConnell Funeral Home. Mrs. Greenhaw passed away on Tuesday February 11, 2019 at Athens Limestone Hospital. She was born March 18, 1928 in Limestone County, AL to John and Lucille Smith. Mrs. Greenhaw was a member of First Christian Church of Athens. She served as Limestone County Board of Registrars. Mrs. Greenhaw and her husband opened and operated Dubs Burgers in Athens from 1961 until 1983. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Weaver “Dub” Greenhaw, three daughters Jane Greenhaw Patterson, Barbara Greenhaw Lipham, Jean Greenhaw Sharpe, two sons Johnny Greenhaw, Dexter Greenhaw, one brother Jerrell Smith, and one sister Wynema Southard. She is survived by her one brother Clinton Smith and wife Jewell of Athens, five grandchildren Tina Patterson Hooks, Mark Patterson, Shane Greenhaw, Zachary Kale Greenhaw, and Ian Greenhaw, five great grandchildren Paige Hicks, Tyler Hicks, Crystal Greenhaw, Wesley Parker Greenhaw, and Bella Patterson, and one great-great grandchild Meredith Hicks.
