Hayward H. Nixon, age 82, Northport, Alabama passed away Sunday, February 09, 2020 at his residence. He was born in Marion County, Alabama on Saturday, June 12, 1937 to Leonard Nixon and Eva Dale Yielding Nixon.
Visitation will be Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. February 11, 2020 at Marion County Funeral Home. Service will be Wednesday 1 p.m. February 12, 2020 with Bro. Ted Burleson officiating and burial at Hamilton Memory Gardens.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Eva Dale Nixon; siblings, Genneta Cayson, Joel Nixon, Norma Lou Brooks.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Virgina Atkinson Nixon; children, Michael Hugh Nixon (wife, Terry) of Winfield, Melanie Nixon Hughes of Northport, Vallisa Nixon of Northport, Lyndell Ward Nixon of Hamilton; grandchildren, Matthew Nixon (Wife, Kayla), Hannah Nixon, Isabelle Holcomb (Chris), Abilgail Nixon, Jordan Todd (Chad),Whitney Hughes, Paul Hughes III Morgan), Riley Hughes (Haley); great-grandchildren, Levi Nixon, Ainslee Nixon, Ryder Nixon, Sophia Todd, Aubrie Humphreys, Eli& Caleb Humphreys, Peyton Hughes, Ellie Hughes, Skip Hughes, Harper Hughes; siblings, Margie Mays, Eva Carol Sartain, Jet Jewel and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
