Funeral services for Mr. Clifford Heath age 92, of Ashland will be held Friday, January 31, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Faith Christian Fellowship with Rev. Zenus Windsor officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
Mr. Heath passed away Tuesday January 28, 2020 at the Clay County Nursing Home. He was a lifelong resident of Clay County, had worked for over 20 years in Lanett at West Point Pepperell Mills and also in the service station business with his best friend, the late Jimmy Patterson. He loved his family, enjoyed his grand kids, farming, and sitting under his favorite shade tree in the swing with his dog Bella. He also loved fishing and visiting friends in the nursing home, giving people food from his garden and helping those in need, because of his big loving heart for others.
He is survived by two daughters: Shirley Thrift of Ashland and Betty Pozo (Guillermo) of Lineville; one son, Jackie Heath of Ashland; siblings: Bill (Glenda) Heath of Lanett and Hilton Heath of Cragford; six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; three special nieces and a large extended family.
He was preceded by his parents; his wife of 71 years, Eula Mae Heath; siblings, Ben Heath, Byron Heath, Emma Jean Howell, Maudean Hunt and Irine Roughton.
Pallbearers will be Robbie Heath, Tracie Harris, Guillermo Pozo, Mason Hilyer, David Holcombe and David Smith.
The family will receive friends at Faith Christian Fellowship from 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M. before the service.
