Ms. Sally Swan Reynolds, 60, of Scottsboro, former resident of Birmingham, died on Wednesday, January 22, 2020. She was a devout Christian and member of Scottsboro First Baptist Church. She was very active in her church and community. She volunteered at Turning Point Pregnancy Center. She graduated Scottsboro High School in 1977 and McWhorter School of Pharmacy, Samford University in 1982.
While Sally had many interests, none could compare to the love and joy she experienced when spending time with her nieces and nephews. There was never a birthday, holiday, or special occasion that Sally didn’t leave an indelible print on each of them. No matter how Sally may have felt, she never let it prevent her from learning to sachet across the floor or flip pancakes.
Sally was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan and enjoyed ballroom dancing and Christian music. Sally was a giver, and gave to others with all of her heart. She will be remembered as one of the kindest, compassionate, caring people who never met a stranger. She made you feel like you belonged, that you were important. She was an angel on earth. And now she is an angel who is dancing with her Father in Heaven.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Scottsboro with Rev. Shandy Dill officiating. She will lie in state at the church from 12 noon until time of service. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at Scottsboro Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Ms. Reynolds is survived by her mother, Jane Wheat Reynolds; sister, Robin Reynolds (Dale) Harden; brother, Wes (Dawn) Reynolds; nieces and nephews, Anna Harden (Rick) McCay, Claire Harden (Bryan) Gulas, Jacob Wesley Reynolds, and Morgan Cacyce Reynolds; great niece and nephew, Hope Lindsey McCay and Samson Abel McCay; and fur baby, Mattie.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harold W. Reynolds.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church or Turning Point Pregnancy Center.
