Lee Roy Wilkinson, 67 of Cowan, passed away on Sunday January 26, 2020 at his residence. Mr. Wilkinson was born on September 28, 1952 to the late Bob and Stella Wilkinson in Mishawaka, Indiana. He was retired from AEDC, where he worked as a machinist. He enjoyed working in his shop, hunting, playing darts, watching westerns, playing cards, and spending time with his family and friends. Mr. Wilkinson was a hardworking and honest person. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister-in-law Regina Wilkinson and brother-in-law, Charles Shockley. He is survived by his children, Susan (James) Carr of Decherd, David (Jennie) Wilkinson of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Lexi Shelnutt, Kinsey Carr; siblings, John Wilkinson of Cowan, Steve Wilkinson of Cowan, Jean Shockley of Manchester, Billy (Angela) Wilkinson of Cowan; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 P.M. on Tuesday January 28, 2020 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday January 29, 2020 in the chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Cowan-Montgomery Cemetery.
