James Leon Putman, 63 of Madison, Alabama, died Monday, January 13, 2020 at Huntsville Hospital. Services will be 2pm Friday at Spry Funeral Home Chapel with Robert Hall and Ronny Adams officiating, burial in Pettusville Cemetery, visitation is from 6pm until 8pm Thursday at Spry Funeral Home.
Mr. Putman was born June 29, 1956 in Limestone County, he was a member of Tanner Church of Christ, and he was retired from Athens Utilities and Decatur Utilities.
Survivors: Wife: Phyllis Putman of Madison; Son: Chris Putman and wife Nicole of Athens; Daughter: Leigh Ann Bivens and husband Troy of Athens; Grandchildren: Julianna, Crimson, Cameron, Jame, Reid and Emilee.
Preceded in death by: Parents: Robert George and Mary Ethel Putman; Granddaughter: Jordan Leigh Putman; Brother: Benjie Putman.
Pallbearers will be: Troy Bivens, Laz Williams, Crimson Bivens, Jame Putman, Billy Miller, Spencer Miller, Tony Lewis and Tim Adams. Honorary Pallbearers: Alwin Moran, Johnny Moran, Barry Kirk, Dale Putman, Robert Smith, Torey Putman, Tony Kirk, Larry Bailey and Jeffery Windham.
