Mrs. Ruby Pauline “Norton” Moore, 96, of Athens, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at her residence. Mrs. Moore was born January 22, 1923 to James Thomas Norton and Flora Belle Brooks.
She was a charter member of East Highland Baptist Church.
Funeral services for Mrs. Moore will be held on Monday, January 13, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Eric Maddox, Bro. Jason Moore and Bro. Bob White officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2020 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Copeland Cemetery.
Preceded in death by her husband, Chester Moore; daughter, Lois Perry; and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her sons, Charles Moore and wife Karen and Tommy Moore and wife Patricia; daughters, Nancy Gatlin and husband Lendle, Polly Locke and husband Grant, Gayle Powers and Debra Shockley and husband Jim; sister, Faye Drean of Connecticut; 19 Grandchildren; 31, Great grandchildren; 12 Great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Ron Williams, Cody Scott, Terry Brown, Justin Moore, Connor Beck, Todd Powers, Brice Gatlin and Cheston Powers.
