Billie Sue Stephens, 85, of Huntsville, AL, formerly of Red Bay, AL, died Thursday, January 2, 2020, at Redstone Village in Huntsville, AL. Mrs. Stephens was a member of Whitesburg Baptist Church in Huntsville, AL. She was a former teacher and an avid reader. She was known for her love and laughter. She is survived by one son, David R. Stephens and spouse, Susan, of Huntsville, AL; one daughter, Carla Sims and spouse, Chris, of Harvest, AL; and two grandchildren, Joy Shepard and James Alan “Bear” Shepard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Ray Stephens; her parents, Willis F. and Tressie Pleasant Ledbetter; and 11 brothers and sisters. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 10, at the Chapel at Whitesburg Baptist Church in Huntsville, AL.
