Elizabeth Kisner Ladner, loving wife, mother, and grandmother went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 30, 2019 at the age of 82. She was sur-rounded by a loving caring family during the Christmas season.

Liz was born in Laurel, MS. She attended Jones County Junior College and the University of Southern Mississippi. She majored in Physical Education, and graduated from Southern with a Bachelor of Science degree. While attending college, thanks to alphabetical seating, she met the love of her life and best friend, Jim. They were married for 59 years.

Liz was a homemaker while her three children were young. As her children ma-tured she taught school, and later learned and worked as an accountant.

After retirement, she and Jim were active in Red Cross Disaster Relief for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Athens. Liz loved living on the river, gardening, camping, numerous hobbies, and was a talented seamstress. She enjoyed hosting frequent gatherings and celebrations at the river for her family.

She was preceded in death by husband, James Ladner, son, Michael Ladner and her parents, Bernard L. & Nadene Kisner.

Liz is survived by her children, Kenny (Kellie) Ladner ,and Donna (Lesley) Jones; grandchildren Jacob (Erika) Ladner, Andy (Megan) Ladner, Chris (Lainee) Oliver, Ashleigh ((Greg) Stephens, Chad (Laura) Oliver, Braden (Kris-tin) Ladner, Macy Ladner, Aaron Ladner, Clay Oliver, Nathan Ladner, and Ra-leigh Ladner; and six great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at Roselawn Cemetery 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 2.
