Shelton Ray Everett, age 78, of Russellville, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2019 at North Alabama Medical Center.
Ray was a longtime member and deacon of Cornerstone Fellowship Church. He was very kind and generous man who would do anything he could for anybody. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who will be missed by all who knew him.
The visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel with Sister Carolyn Baker officiating the service. Burial will be at Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Shelow & Dovie (Hanner) Everett; and sister, Virginia Everett.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 39 years, Betty Sue Everett; children, Paula Baker (Jarrett), Laronna Davis, Chad Everett (Brittany); grandchildren, Devin Herring, Sienna Davis, Elijah Everett, Evan Everett, Lily Everett; sister, Brenda Carpenter; brothers, L.C. Everett; Sherman Everett (Jamie); and several nieces & nephews.
Spry Memorial Chapel assisted the family.
