Shirley Jean Bishop Whitlow 82, of Hartselle passed away Friday, December 13, 2019 at NHC Healthcare in Moulton. She was born May 6, 1937 in Athens, Alabama to Roy and Mary Spurlock Childers Sr. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Louis Bishop and siblings, Mary Katherine, Alvin, Margaret, Charles and Roy Jr., and Mildred. She is survived by her husband, Doyle Whitlow; two sons, Jeff Bishop (Laura), Joel Bishop (Stephanie); grandchildren, Jared Bishop (Megan), John Bishop (Brittany) and Anna Bishop; great grandchildren, Koen, Brinley, Eleanor, Judson, and Jameson Bishop; one sister, Patricia Childers Johns; also a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 17, 2019 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Decatur Church of Christ with a funeral serivce following at 1:00pm with Mark Posey and Tony Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
