Robert 'Bob' Damian Robert ‘Bob’ Damian, 82, of Madison, passed away Friday. Bob, one of eleven children, was born in Dunkirk, NY to Leo and Theresa Damian. While in high school, he raced pigeons and played basketball. Bob served in the Army for 3 years before graduating from Tri-State College in Angola, IN with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Bob moved his family to Huntsville in 1969 from Niagara Falls, NY. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was an avid golfer, woodworker and, more recently, played bridge at the Madison Senior Center. He worked for Dunlop Tire for over 30 years before retiring in 1999.

Survivors include sisters, Patricia Kokocinski and Evelyn Whalen; children, Gregory Damian (Angela Holloway), Sue Sutphin (Neil), Mark Damian (Nina), and Jennifer Hamrick (Brett); grandchildren, Emily and Jared Sutphin, Luke, Lexi, and Sasha Damian and Cole and Austin Hamrick; and former spouses, Mary Ann DeMaioribus and Martha Maples.

Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18th, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. A memorial mass will follow immediately with Father Joseph Lubrano, SDS officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Madison City Senior Center.
