Mrs.  Bernice Katherine Moody Bernice Katherine Moody, 72, of Scottsboro, Alabama passed away in Plano, Texas on December 9, 2019. Bernice was born in Seattle, Washington on January 16, 1947 to Katherine and CMSgt David Robert Hume. She attended Maconaquah High School, graduating Class of 1965.
Bernice previously worked as a Registered Nurse but above all, enjoyed caring for others, both people and pets. Bernice loved gardening, painting, listening to old records, laughing, and spending time with her family and friends. Bernice was also a proud mother of one and grandmother of two. Bernice is survived by Noel McLain (daughter), Robert Hume (brother) and was predeceased by Katherine Anna Hume (mother), David Robert Hume (father) and Lloyd Hume (brother).
Bernice touched the lives of many people with her smile, selfless caring and generosity, and maintained her trademark easy-go, no complaints attitude all the way to the end. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service in her honor.
Visitation will be held at Scottsboro Funeral Home on Friday, December 13, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home. Burial services will be performed at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
