Mrs. Inez Lee (Duvall) Garrett, age 80, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2019 at Albertville Health and Rehab.
Born April 2, 1939 at home in Marshall County, she lived her whole life in Arab, AL. She was blessed to be a part of a large family with four siblings. As an adult, she lived in Meadowood subdivision most of that time and worked at Arab Junior High School and SCI in order to care and provide for her children. After retiring she enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren and trips with her sisters. She was a life long member of New Friendship Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by her husband, Lane Garrett; her daughter, Regina Burleson; her mother and father, Elmas and Burly Duvall; a sister, Delean Wheeler and two brother-in-laws, Arlon Wheeler and Jim Bennett.
She is survived by her son, Mike Garrett (Darlene), two daughters – Elizabeth Mann (Jeff) and Donna Douglas (Rick), her sisters Alma Bennett and Judy Tidwell (Benny) and her brother Charles Duvall (Joan).
Eight Grandchildren: Jeremy Garrett (Debbie), Shea Johnson (Eric), Cori Evett (Michael), Kristen Douglas, Kellye Garrett, Joshua Douglas (Emily), Jace Garrett (Alana) and Shannon Mann.
Fourteen Great Grandchildren and a host of Nieces and Nephews.
Pallbearers: Jeremy Garrett, Jace Garrett, Joshua Douglas, Lance Tidwell, Eric Johnson, and Michael Evett.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Bro. Jerald Adams, officiating. Burial will be at New Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
