FLORENCE-On Monday, December 9 several agencies responded to a house fire in Florence in the 3300 block of Florence Boulevard near Newbern’s Restaurant.
One person died in the blaze and the name has not been released. According to the Lauderdale County Coroner cause of death has not been determined and an autopsy will be performed.
Officials say the residence was occupied by only one person.
The Alabama Fire Marshall’s Office will investigate the cause of the fire and should arrive on Tuesday, December 10.
