Funeral service for Martha Mavis Prater, 85, will be Thursday, December 12, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Liberty Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Ben Bates officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Liberty Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 11, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Prater died on Monday, December 9, 2019 at South Hampton Nursing and Rehab. She was born September 7, 1934, in Winston County to William Ward and Myrtle Cornelius Ward. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Falkville.
She was preceded in death by her husband: James Lemuel Prater, her parents, a sister: Linda Martin and a grandson: Brett Knight.
