Harold Wayne Browning, 69, of Athens passed away on Friday, December 6, 2019 at his residence. Mr. Browning was born January 17, 1950 in Vevay, Indiana to Calvin John Browning and Emma Smith Browning.
Funeral services for Mr. Browning will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Roger Williams officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Carolyn Browning; sons, Kevin Browning (Michelle), Danny Browning (Shelley) and Jeff Browning; sister, Linda Callahan; brothers, Calvin Browning (JoAnn), Arnold Browning (Carol) and Larry Browning (Cathy); grandchildren, Katie Lynn Reeve, Paige Browning Holland, Baily Olivia Browning, Reis Wayne Browning and Ian Gregory Browning; great grandchildren, Easton Whitley Holland, Allianna Kate Lewter and Bryson Gage Holland.
Preceded in death by his daughter, Tricia Browning and his parents.
Mr. Browning was a Vietnam Army Veteran. He was retired from General Motors and a U.A.W. Member with 31 years of service.
Pallbearers are Kevin Browning, Danny Browning, Jeff Browning, Reis Browning, Ian Browning, Eric Browning, Mike Martin and Jeff Gentilcore. Honorary pallbearers are Bryson Holland, Don Campbell, Mike Johnson, Mark Gibson, Louie Curce and all U.A.W. Local members.
