Betty Kaczmarowski, 81, died Saturday, November 30, 2019, at Regency Retirement of Huntsville. She was born in New Orleans, LA on September 8, 1938 and lived in several places in south Alabama. She graduated high school from Fort Lauderdale High School in Florida in 1956. After graduation she moved to Huntsville to live with her mother, Lucy, and her stepfather, William Hopper.
Shortly after moving to Huntsville she met Fred Kaczmarowski who was attending school on Redstone Arsenal. They were married in 1958 and a couple of years later moved to Wisconsin where Fred was from. They moved back to Huntsville In 1974 where they lived for their remaining years.
Betty was a longtime member of Holy Spirit Catholic church where she enjoyed many friendships over the years and where she worked part time ordering food and supplies, cooking for and organizing many of the functions held there. She was a wonderful homemaker for her family throughout the years and helped take care of her grandchildren as well.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by her four children: Roger Kaczmarowski, Carol Cutter (Norwood), and Sharon Klar (Ralph) all of Huntsville, and Scott Kaczmarowski of Chattanooga, TN; five grandchildren: Ashley Ellis (Drew), Joshua Cutter (Rachel), Jonathan Cutter, Adam Chynoweth, and Amy Cutter; and one great-grandchild: Lillian Marie Ellis. She is also survived by her sister, Carol Dunn (Leon) of Meridianville; and her half siblings, John Hill, Jr. and Marsha Hoffner, both of North Carolina; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with the service immediately following at the church. Burial will be after the service in Maple Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
