Jerry Wayne Paul was born on February 17, 1962 to Bessie Paul-Fisher in Mansfield, Louisiana.

Jerry was educated in the Caddo Parish School District in Shreveport, Louisiana. He graduated from Woodlawn High school in 1980. Shortly after graduating, he joined the United States Army where he would become a Field Medic. The skills he learned as a Field Medic enabled him to secure employment in the field of medicine where he would work as an Operating Room Technician for The Surgery Center of Huntsville, Alabama for over 17 years. He truly enjoyed helping people which is what attracted him to that line of work. However, his greatest joy came from helping people to obtain an accurate knowledge of the Bible. Jerry always had a respect for God. It’s when he came to learn God’s name and God’s purpose for the earth amongst other things, that he decided to dedicate his life to Jehovah and symbolize that dedication by water baptism on June 21, 2003.

Jerry met the love of his life Valerie D. Paul in 1984 when he moved to Huntsville, Alabama. He married his best friend on February 10, 1987. To this loving union, two beautiful daughters were born.

Jerry fell asleep in death on Wednesday, October 2, 2019. He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and devoted wife Valerie Paul; his caring and loving daughter’s Monica Lynn (Atlanta, GA) and Jerrica Renee’ Paul (Huntsville, AL); one precious granddaughter Jaden Nicole Paul; one grandson (his mini me) Adriel Dewayne Paul (both of Huntsville, AL); his mother Bessie Paul-Fisher (Shreveport, LA); one caring sister Beverly Hargerty (James) (Charlotte, NC); his twin brother Gary “Peter” Paul (Valerie)(Shreveport, LA); a baby brother Anthony “Tony” Fisher (Sandra)(Greenville, SC); three sisters-in-law that preceded him Betty Jean Love; Ida Mae Love Ellerby; and Caldonia Love Cuff (all of Huntsville, AL); ten sisters-in-law, Joann Brandon Green and Hassie Nance (George)(both of Huntsville, AL); Camille Fields (Nashville, TN); Lisa Hambrick (San Antonio, TX); Jeanette Fearn (James) (Huntsville, AL); Marcella Renee’ Pincheon (Jeff)(Roanoke Rapids, NC); Virginia Gulley and Malinda Douglas (both of Huntsville, AL); Helen Love Vasser and Lavon Love; (both of Atlanta, GA) five brothers-in-law, Jeffrey Jerome Douglas; Michael Hambrick (Brenda); and Jason Dewayne Hambrick (Mendy) (all of Huntsville, AL); Anderson “BJ” Love Jr. (Brenda) (Hilton Head Island, SC); John Thomas Love (Enterprise, AL); along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
