Ms. Bonnie Sharlyne Bailey, age 58 of Athens, AL passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at her home. Ms. Bailey was born On May 6, 1961 in Georgia to Dwight Raburn and Dorothy Ann Raburn.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Ann Raburn.
Ms. Bailey is survived by her daughter, Nikki Shelnutt ; son, Kaylon Shelnutt; father and step-mother, Dwight and Dianna Raburn; grandchildren, Kasie Farris (Leason Buckelew) and Alyssa Shelnutt; great-grandchild, Kaeson Buckelew; sister, Lisa Nuss (Joe); brother, Dwight Douglas Raburn (Lisa); step-sisters, Tammy Cash (Jimmy) and Gig Osmer (Chris); step-brother, Rory Thompson.
Ms. Bailey was a member of New Oakland Baptist Church. She was a wonderful cook and loved being with her family.
Services for Ms. Bailey will be at 3:00 PM on Sunday, December 1, 2019 at New Oakland Baptist Church with Doug Raburn, Joe Nuss and Frankie Murphy officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:45 PM prior to the funeral. Burial will be in New Oakland Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Leason Buckelew, Tyler Waldrep, Seth Nuss, Andrew Nuss, Jacob Raburn and Caleb Raburn. Honorary pallbearers will be Parker King and Trent Houston.
