His first job was with the Alabama State Highway Department. In 1964 , he moved his family to Huntsville, AL to work at Liberty National Life Insurance Company. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and hunting. After retirement in 2006, he spent time hunting in his favorite spot in Estill Fork, Alabama. He loved being there with his family and friends and grandchildren more than anything.
Special message from his family: He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He lived for his family and loved us all deeply. He taught us right from wrong, provided for us, and was always there for us. He will leave all of us better people for having had him in our lives. Jimmy Klines Brooks will be missed and we all know he will be waiting for us on the other side. Godspeed sweet Daddy. Love, Thumbs Up, One Min.
