Harden Davis, 95 of Garden City, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at his residence. Mr. Davis was born in, served as Mayor for 10 years in and passed away in the town he was honored and proud to be a part of; Garden City, AL. He served with the OSS in the Army Air Corp during WWII. Harden was a member of Garden City Baptist Church and faithfully served as a deacon for many years. He was a machinist for over 35 years, he enjoyed woodworking and especially building cars and birdhouses. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was known for being a jokester. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Brenda Sue Davis. Survivors include his wife of 75 years, Odie Bell Davis; daughter, Sherry Davis Lucas of West Palm Beach, FL.; son, Terry Dean (Carol) Davis of Greer, SC.; sister, Ruth Whaley; grandchildren: Sean Davis, Branden Davis and Elissa Lucas and great grandchildren: Bella, Catie and Cam. His Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at Moss Service Funeral Home beginning at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Scott Arnold officiating. His family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow in Garden City Cemetery.
