Memorial services for Joann Smith age 85, of Lineville will be held Sunday November 10, 2019 2:00 P.M. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Ashland, with Bro. George Worthington Officiating.
Ms. Smith passed away November 4, 2019 at the Clay County Hospital. She was born in Shelby County, Alabama, was a former resident of Atlanta, Georgia and Talladega, but had lived in Clay County for several years where she worked in textile manufacturing until her retirement.
She is survived by four daughters; Shelia Coke (John) of Conyers, Ga., Kathy Owens (John) and Tru Davidson of Ashland also Felicia Wood (Earl) of Lineville, four sons; Mike Smith and David Smith of Ashland, Joel Smith (Magon) of Millerville, and Mark Smith (Ann) of Lineville, plus numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a large extended family.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Henry Robert Smith and Arlena Pitts Smith along with two brothers; Henry Dan Smith and James Woodrow Smith.
