Margaret M. Johnson, 85, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 26. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, E. E. “Pete” Johnson.
Mrs. Johnson lived life to its fullest. The happy couple’s earlier retirement years were spent traveling by motor home, following the Alabama Crimson Tide and spending winters in Naples, Florida.
Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Green, and son, Greg Johnson, both of Huntsville; sister, Martha Stickel, of Killen; grandchildren, Dr. Tyler Green and Macey Johnson; and great-grandchildren, Rebel and Dallas Ann Green, all of Huntsville.
In addition to playing cards, watching sports, and traveling, her later life and the lives of others were enriched by her enthusiastic participation in and promotion of ballroom dancing.
The family wishes to thank Tina Ford of Trinity Place for her exceptional loving attention and compassion as Mrs. Johnson’s home caregiver.
Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Huntsville Memory Gardens with the Rev. Eric Kohler officiating.
