Mr. William Bivins Funeral services for Mr. Williams Bivins, are 74, are scheduled for 2 PM, Sunday, October 27, 2019 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington. Interment will follow in Liberty Cemetery near Scotts Hill with Military Honors. Mr. Bivins passed away late Thursday in Lexington. He was born December 1, 1944 in Scotts Hill to the late Woodrow and Willidean Brittain Bivins. Mr. Bivins graduated in 1962 from Scotts Hill High School and went on to obtain his Business Degree from Jackson State Community College. He was a U. S. Army National Guard Veteran and an ordained deacon at Piney Creek Baptist Church. He worked in tooling at Johnson Controls in Lexington from 1967-2007. Mr. Bivins loved to fish, hunt, and garden, but was happiest when riding and working on his tractor. He was preceded in death by four siblings, Betty Jo Bivins, John Thomas “J T” Bivins, James “J M” Bivins, and Thomas Bivins. Survivors include his daughter, Ginger Terry; his brother, Dale Bivins; his two sisters, Wanda Bivins Scott and Linda Bivins Moyer; two grandchildren, Chelsea Terry Wall (Nick) and Stephen Gray Terry; one great granddaughter, Maeligh Wall; and a special friend, Deb Brunt.
