Mrs. Frances M. Owens, 75, died Monday, October 21, 2019, at her home in Hollywood, surrounded by family.
Born July 15, 1944, in Rainsville, she was an avid gardener, cook, and was known for her gentle-natured spirit and her long-lasting friendships.
She worked as a machine operator at Maples Industries for 35 years.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Jack Owens of Hollywood; a son, Jason Owens of Hollywood; a daughter, Crystal Owens Christoff and son-in-law, Richard Christoff of Tampa, Florida; two grandsons, Samuel and Owen Christoff; a sister, Phyllis Tigue of Dutton; and a number of nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Doyle Malcom; her mother, Elizabeth Malcom; and her father, Orin Malcom.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Pinehaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
