Ms. Barbara “Annette” Nobles of Pflugerville, TX, formerly of Hamilton, AL, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2019, from heart complications. She was 74. A memorial service to celebrate Ms. Nobles’ life will be held at Marion County Funeral Home on Saturday, October 26. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12-2p.m.
Ms. Nobles was born in Hamilton, AL, on May 15, 1945, to the late LT Jackson Cotton and Blanche Mae Ritchie Cotton. After moving with her family to Peoria, IL, Annette attended Brown Writing College. She loved writing and illustrating and published several poems and children’s stories over the years.
Annette was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Scott Rutledge. She is survived by her children, Jimmie (Debra) Rutledge, Pflugerville, TX; Chris (Chrissy) Rutledge, Greenville, SC; Brandon Evans, Washington, IL; Anissa (Chip) Moore, Birmingham, AL; grandchildren, Jimmie Rutledge, Sedalia, MO; Zachary Rutledge, Cincinnati, OH; Noah Rutledge, Cary, NC; Hana Rutledge, Springfield, IL; Kamryn Rutledge, Peoria, IL; Curtis Evans, Washington, IL; Megan Evans, Washington, IL; Great-grandchild, Tripp Rutledge, Sedalia, MO; sister, Janet Delp, East Peoria, IL; brother, Ralph (Karen) Cotton, Dunlap, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial service 12-2 p.m. Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Marion County Funeral Home.
