Gene was a Christian and a long time member at Bethel Baptist Church in Arley, Alabama where he was the music director for many years following his father. He had a servant’s heart and loved to help people when he could. He drilled water wells, worked in masonry laying blocks and brick, and the last few years cut grass for many people. He was well known as being a hard worker and loved to work.
His family wants to thank all who have been so kind to visit, call and check on our Dad during his illness.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that money be given to the Gideons International for bibles. https://www.gideons.org/donate
