Dorothy “Jean” Housmans Walker, 92, of Huntsville, passed away Sunday. Mrs. Walker was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church. Jean’s life revolved around her family and church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Dean Walker Sr.; sons, Joseph Dean Walker Jr. and Jeffery Eugene Walker; brother, Charles Housmans; sister, Mary Elizabeth Cruikshank; and her parents, Blanche and Alfred Housmans.
Survivors include her sister, Ann Wagoner of Valdosta, GA; grandsons, Michael Walker (Katherine) of Birmingham, Stephen Walker (Courtney) of Huntsville; and three great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 23 at Maple Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Huntsville, or Encompass Health Hospice.
