Born November 6, 1923, in Alabama to the late James S. Wates and Mary Ida Hollis Wates, Mrs. Derryberry was a graduate of Brilliant High School and a Graduate of Ida V. Moffitt School of Nursing in Birmingham, Alabama. She worked as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist for most of her career.
Visitation: 5:00 – 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 15, 2019, at the Bowen Funeral Home in Winfield, Alabama.
Funeral Service: 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 15, 2019, following visitation, at the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial: Tuesday, October 15, 2019, at West Alabama Memorial Gardens, Gu-Win, Alabama.
