Sally Johnson, 80, of Huntsville, died Monday. She was born and raised in Wisconsin but decided she didn’t like snow and moved to Huntsville in 1980. Mrs. Johnson was and avid swimmer and loved taking care of her grandchildren, teaching them all the tricks to annoy their parents and pay her sons back for the mischief they caused. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Survivors include sons, Steve Johnson (Jessica), Chris Johnson (Christy) and Randy Johnson (Lauren); daughter-in-law, Becky Johnson; brothers, Joseph McDermott and William Behrends; sisters, Nancy Ellen Schulz, Anne Burns and Michelle Greene; and grandchildren, Stephen, Ryan, Joy, Madeline, Luke and Collin Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph William Johnson and sons, Jeff Johnson and Danny Johnson.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18th, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19th, at Trinity United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. (www.laughlinservice.com)
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Huntsville Botanical Gardens.
