Funeral Service for James Lewis “J.L.” Parker will be Sunday, October 13, 2019, 1PM, at Cornerstone Revival Center, Pastor Jeremy Wilbanks, Bishop Greg Wilbanks and Rev. Jim Hampton officiating, with interment in Bethel United Methodist Cemetery.
Mr. Parker passed away at his home October 10, 2019, at the age of 71.
He was born on January 2, 1948 to Chester Lewis Parker and to Maggie Irene Estes Parker. He was a dedicated member of Cornerstone Revival Center for over 30 years. He retired from CSX Railroad and later served as principal at Conerstone Revival Center, and as Sunday School Director for many years. He was a substitute bus driver for Fairview School and was a member of the Cullman 911 Board. He loved his family and especially his grandsons Jadon & Carson Parker.
Mr. Parker is survived by his son, Jim (Beth) Parker; his daughter, Kim (Craig) Cadle, a brother, Roger (Cindy) Parker; 6 sisters, Virginia Taylor, Edna Plott, Glenda Cummings, Mickey Bates, Wynell Speegle and Becky Taylor; and 2 grandchildren, Jadon Parker & Carson Parker; and a host of nieces, nephews, family & friends.
He was preceeded by his parents and by his wife, Mary Ellen Parker.
Visitation will be Saturday October 12, 2019, from 6 to 9PM at Cornerstone Revival Center located at 3151 Al Hwy 69, Cullman, AL 35058..
