James Daniel “Danny” Green age 66 of the Belk Community of DeKalb County, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2019 at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital ER. He was born January 31, 1953 to his parents, the late Austin Elijah and Sarah Edna Rankhorn Green. He was a mechanic. Danny is survived by his wife, Mary Green of Smithville; 2 children, Jonathan (Twana) Green and Jeremy (Donna) Green both of Smithville; 1 grandchild, Rylin Green; 2 step-grandchildren, Justin Atnip and Trista Atnip; 2 brothers, Jerry (Melissa) Green and Anthony Green both of Rock Island; half-brother, Larry Green of Smithville; 2 nephews, Zachery and Kevin Green; 1 niece, Angela Jackson. Visitation with the family will be Monday 3:PM until 8:PM at DeKalb Funeral Chapel and then the family will honor Mr. Green’s request to be cremated. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
