Barbara Jean Hodges 75, of Elkmont, AL died Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at home in Elkmont, AL surrounded by her family.
Born Saturday, March 25, 1944 in Elkmont, AL she was the daughter of Robert Mason Pullum and Gracie Johnson Pullum.
She lived here all her life and was a member of Hollands Gin Church of Christ. She loved to fish, watch grandkids playing sports, Sunday family gatherings, and enjoyed selling produce and fireworks.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Edward Hodges; sister, Nadine Reyer.
She is survived by her son, James Byron Hodges (Romona), Athens, AL; daughters, Kathy Shores (Eddie), Elkmont, AL, Teresa Alexander (Mike), Elkmont, AL, Angie Thompson (Al), Ardmore, AL, Christy Lassie (Bobby), Athens, AL; sisters, Kathleen Haggard, Athens, AL, Wanda Haggard, Athens, AL, and Marjorie Taylor, Athens, AL; grandchildren, Brennen Shores, Kevin Watkiins, Jacob Shores, Lacey Hodges, Kayla Nave, Candace Hodges, Hannah Crabtree, Kelsey Hodges, Nick Thompson, Dakota McCurley, Hunter Alexander, and Mahaley Lassie; 13 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, AL, from 5 PM until 8 PM.
A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, AL with Bro. Collier Raley officiating. Burial will be in Hodges Cemetery, Elkmont, AL. Pallbearers will be Deryl Haggard, Michael Ivey, Tim Reyer, Frankie Murphy, Lynn Bellew and Mark Smith.
